The
Santa Barbara Peace Corps Association (SBPCA) is a network of returned
Peace Corps Volunteers living in the Santa Barbara area whose purpose
is to:
"A new generation of Americans has taken
over this country...working for freedom as servants of peace around
the world."

promote understanding toward the diverse ethnic and culture groups
around the world

promote self-help among developing nations within a sound environmental
framework

support projects for international peace and protection of human
rights

promote Peace Corps ideals and provide local activities and
fellowship for our members
SBPCA
began in the 1980s and provides a social network for returned Peace
Corps Volunteers living in the area. We volunteer locally in support
of the third goal of the Peace Corps -- "bringing the world back
home."
