Santa Barbara Peace Corps Association
Serving the Community and Peace Corps Volunteers

Welcome!
The Santa Barbara Peace Corps Association (SBPCA) is a network of returned Peace Corps Volunteers living in the Santa Barbara area whose purpose is to:

"A new generation of Americans has taken over this country...working for freedom as servants of peace around the world."
John F. Kennedy, 1960

- promote understanding toward the diverse ethnic and culture groups around the world
- promote self-help among developing nations within a sound environmental framework
- support projects for international peace and protection of human rights
- promote Peace Corps ideals and provide local activities and fellowship for our members
SBPCA began in the 1980s and provides a social network for returned Peace Corps Volunteers living in the area. We volunteer locally in support of the third goal of the Peace Corps -- "bringing the world back home."
